      A. See section on Court Call.

      Q. When can I set a law and motion hearing or a family law matter?
      A. All Family Law & Motion and Civil Law & Motions are heard on Thursday (see Calendar section for times) unless the judge orders otherwise. If a holiday falls on a Thursday there is no regular calendar that week. To reserve a hearing date for a motion, please contact the Calendar Department at (805) 882-4541.

      Q. Do I have to file a Case Management Conference Statement?
      A. Judicial Council form CM110 effective July 1, 2002 is due at least 15 days before the Case Management Conference. If they are not filed and served on all other parties within that time, sanctions may be imposed. If conferences are continued, new statements are required if circumstances change.

      Q. Where is your courtroom?
      A. Department Six is located on the first floor of the historic courthouse near Figueroa and Santa Barbara street. You may enter at the Anacapa/Figueroa Streets entrance (turn right) or the Figueroa Street entrance (double doors) in the middle of the building (turn right).

      Q. When can I set an ex parte hearing?
      A. Requests for ex parte hearings should be directed to the judge’s secretary. Ex parte hearings are scheduled daily at 4:30 pm, but may also be heard at 8:45 am on any day but Thursday, in the judge’s discretion.
