Judge Harry Loberg
A native of Ithaca, New York, Judge Loberg graduated
from Cornell University in 1959 and moved to Santa Barbara in 1960.
He received his J.D. degree from U.C.L.A. in 1966 and returned to
Santa Barbara to begin his law practice.
From 1976 to 1983 he served as a Deputy District
Attorney, after which he became the Municipal Court Commissioner.
He was appointed to the Municipal Court bench by Governor Deukmejian
in 1987 and he was elevated to the Superior Court in August 1998.
Judge Loberg is a past President (1982) of the
County Bar Association and also served as President of the Barristers
Club. He is a recipient of the "Judicial Service Award"
from the County Bar Association. His interests include bicycling,
sailing, and reading. He is also an accomplished pianist.
