Judge Herman, Santa Barbara County Assistant Presiding Judge, was appointed to the Santa Barbara Superior Court in 2005. He currently presides over a civil and family law calendar. Former assignments include Juvenile Presiding Judge, criminal trials, civil, probate and family law and the appellate division panel. He is a member of the court executive committee and chairs the technology committee. As Juvenile PJ, he established a dependency drug court for parents at risk.
