Community Outreach Programs

	CADRe (Court Administered Dispute Resolution) Family Court Services Substance Abuse Treatment Court (Drug Court) Community Outreach Court Calls	One way to ensure continued community involvement is for the courts to consider initiating, maintaining, or enhancing court community outreach programs. There are many types of outreach programs that can help inform and involve the public. Courthouse tours: Free docent tours are conducted at 2pm daily except on Sunday. Additional tours are conducted at 10:30am on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Please contact the docents at (805) 962-6464 for further information. Additional Resources on Community Outreach Programs in California: Report of the Special Task Force The Special Task Force's report, approved by the Judicial Council on February 9, 1999, details statewide actions to be taken to encourage and develop court community outreach.   Dialogue, Courts Reaching Out to Their Communities, A Handbook for Creating and Enhancing Court and Community Collaboration Dialogue is a resource directory for model court community outreach programs and a guide for developing such programs.   Court Community and Collaboration: Describes many other types of outreach programs that can help inform and involve the public.   Resources for Teachers: Classroom activities and useful information to help children and their families who may be in court for whatever reason.
