A: Santa Barbara County Superior Court Appeals Department is closed to the public as of March 17, 2020. Please check our website for up-to-date information before coming to the Court.

Q: IS THE APPEALS DEPARTMENT ACCEPTING FILINGS?

A: Yes, the Appeals Department is accepting filings. Civil appeals by attorneys are required to be filed electronically. Self-represented parties are encouraged to e-file, but may submit filings by mail or fax. Electronic filing is available at www.sbcourts.org. Electronic filing for criminal appeals is not available at this time. Criminal appeals may be submitted by mail or fax.
