Appearances required. At the January 9, 2018 hearing, the court appointed John Ebrahimi as temporary guardian based on an oral motion. Letters have not issued. The appointment is not effective until letters have issued. (Prob. Code, § 2310, subd. (b).) In addition, a written petition for appointment as successor guardian of the person and estate must be filed and properly notice.

The parties should be prepared to discuss the past due account. (See Prob. Code, §2632.)
