COVID-19 Jury FAQ

If you have been instructed to report for jury service and you are experiencing any acute respiratory symptoms, such as shortness of breath, coughing, headaches, have flu-like symptoms, or have a fever, DO NOT report to jury service. Instead, contact the jury office immediately.

If you have been exposed to someone who has recently tested positive for COVID-19, please do not report for jury service. Please contact Jury Services to reschedule your service.

Per Administrative Order issued 1/18/2022, all persons entering a court facility must wear a face mask that fits securely and snugly over the nose and mouth. Wearing of a face mask with a valve, neck gaiter, bandana, or handkerchief shall not be used.

Both the Santa Barbara and Santa Maria jury offices are open. Hours of operation at public windows is between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding court holidays.

Please follow the instructions on the jury summons and login to the Juror eResponse page at juryservice.sbcourts.org to complete the qualification questionnaire. Per court order, all persons entering a court facility must wear a face mask or covering.

Please login to the Juror eResponse page at juryservice.sbcourts.org to complete the qualification questionnaire. If necessary, after completing the qualification questionnaire, you may request a postponement of your jury service. You may also contact the jury office to request your jury service be deferred to a future date.
